Matthew Paden

Dr. Paden received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Maryland in 1984.  He then completed his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from The California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1991.  Dr. Paden then completed his residency at Vencor Hospital (Highlands Foot and Ankle Program) in 1993.  Following residency, he completed a one-year diabetic foot fellowship from The California College of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Paden is Board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in both foot as well as reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery.  He has been in practice in the Denver metro area since 1994.  He is currently the President and CEO of Rocky Mountain Foot and Ankle Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Currently, Dr. Paden serves as the President and CEO of Highlands Foot and Ankle Institute.  As one of the original founders of the organization, Dr. Paden has served on the Board of Directors since 2005.  Dr. Paden has also served as President and Board Member of Colorado Foot and Ankle Society.

One of Dr. Paden’s greatest passions is to promote the education of foot and ankle surgery in the “Highland’s” spirit.  He was the Clinic Director of the Highlands program from 1996 until 2003.  Dr. Paden then served as the Residency Director of the Highlands program from 2004-2010.

Dr. Paden lives in Golden, Colorado with his wife Barbara and children Hunter and Katya.  He enjoys everything Colorado including hiking, skiing, climbing and fly fishing.
